Job Description:All employees are required to be polite, professional,
and pleasant. All employees are also required to keep themselves and their work environment clean. It is important be up-to-date on all policies, procedures, and protocols. It is also important to keep all proper book work, reports, files, run sheets, professional and well documented. All employees must be polite to hospitals, staff, other EMS, billers, dispatchers and the general public.
Basic EMT job description:
Maintain current EMT certifications
Maintain all required cards including but not limited to EMT-B card, CPR card, etc.
Maintain current and active drivers license
Keep current CEU’s updated and turned into Life Line
Daily Truck checks- maintenance and safety checks to be done first thing on each shift
Daily Truck checks- supply, OMTB equipment, squad equipment, supply room- daily at the start of your shift
Cleaning inside and outside of the squads daily and more frequently if needed.
Staying current with Life Line Policies, procedures, protocols, HIPPA regulations, etc.
Cleaning the office and employee areas on a daily basis
Cleaning bathrooms on a daily basis
Monitoring supply room, cleaning and updating supplies
Maintaining yard work and chores including mowing the lawn, weeding, cleaning etc.
Understand all equipment and/or supplies- and if having problems notify an owner/manager.
Removal off trash out of squad and office.
To get proper paperwork including face sheet, run sheet, doctors certification, and patient authorization form, patient information, etc.
Help with paperwork/office work as needed. Undertand office equipment and use fax, computers, phones, etc.
To be competent and proficient in all skills required by your level of medical training/certification.
Dress and act in a professional manor- including Life Line Uniforms (black shoes, black socks, black pants, Life Line shirt-required to be tucked in).
Apply your medical training and care to all patients in a professional and courteous manor.
Lift, transport, and care for patient's in a safe manor. Lift carefully to protect yourself and your patients; transport and drive with caution. SAFETY is our number 1 priority.
EMT-I/ EMT-A job description:
Maintain current EMT-I, EMT-A certifications
Maintain all required cards including but not limited to EMT-I/A card, CPR card, ACLS etc.

EMT-Paramedic job description:

Maintain current and active drivers license unless a written agreement has been signed with Life Line.

Office Biller/Dispatcher:
Maintain phones and be proficient in dispatching
Use office equipment such as phones, fax, computers, copiers, etc.
Work with patients and clients on a professional level
Maintain proper records for dispatching squads
Maintain proper billing records and paperwork
Clean and maintain your office area and work space
Cleaning the office and kitchen
Dress and act in a professional manor.
Handle multiple cases, clients, and events at one time.
Be proficient and competent in Microsoft word, billing programs, patient programs, collections, internet, etc.
Manage EMT's and employees on a profession basis
Schedule, dispatch, and maintain emergency runs, non-emergency runs, transports, dialysis, doctors apt, etc
Work with hospitals, nursing home, home heath and the public in a professional manor.

Life Line Medical Ambulance
Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) RN
As a MICU Registered Nurse you are required to maintain all licenses and education requirements supervised by the Ohio Nursing Board and Ohio Medical Board. RN’s will assist Life Line Medical with any Ohio Medical Transportation Board (OMTB), Ohio Medical Board and Ohio EMS Board requirements, and will abide any laws and regulations by these boards.
MICU Nursing staff will transport critical care patients as Hospital to Hospital transfers. They will help lead the medical team on critical patients care. They are expected to be well educated and knowledgeable in Emergency Medicine. The list provided are requirements needed by MICU nursing staff to operation on a MICU.
• Maintain current RN certifications and state License
• Maintain all required cards including but not limited CPR card, PALS, ACLS, etc.

• Document patient care reports on emscharts.com and turn paperwork in on a timely manor. This includes proper documentation on patient care, vitals, medication use, and/or procedures.

• Dress and act in a professional manor
• Maintain Medic/ACLS/MICU drugs. Preform medication checks on a daily basis for damage, expiration, etc. Replace medications as needed and order medications as needed. Document medication usage, damage, or expiration as required by OMTB, DEA, and the State Medical Board.
• Maintain, use and be familiar with ALS equipment and supplies. This includes Life Pack, Vent, BiPAP, CPAP, IV pumps, etc.
• Apply your medical training and care to all patients in a professional and courteous manor.
• Lift, transport, and care for patient's in a safe manor. Lift carefully to protect yourself and your patients.
• Transport and drive with caution. SAFETY First!
• If Life Line Medical Ambulance has a patient that we take frequently on a monthly/weekly/daily basis such as dialysis, wound care, oncology, etc. the Registered Nurse may be required to go to the patient’s home/nursing home/assisted living center to do a complete head to toe assessment every 60-90 days (sooner if needed). This will include a physical exam, History of Present Illness (HPI) and obtain information regarding patient’s heath, medications, past medical history, and medical care plan. This information will be used in the patient’s care report, paperwork and billing bookkeeping. This information will also be used for medical information required by Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance as well as to help EMS providers provide care to the patient. The nurse will obey all HIPPA guidelines and nursing center requirements. No medical care will be preformed during these assessments. If an issue is found by the RN that should require medical care, he/she will report it immediately to the nurse or physician in charge before leaving the facility and document the incident. If the patient is at home and no medical provider can be reached, the patient will be offered medical transportation to the Emergency Room via EMS. If patient refuses follow “patient refusal protocols” and document the incident. A record of the incident and findings will be sent to the patient’s physician.
